Character Name: F.R.I.D.A.
Age: While Frida was created thousands of years ago, it's difficult to say how long they were active or inactive. They also don't age, but in human terms they could roughly be about young adult age

Canon Abilities: Frida is an Aeormaton, a homebrew race from Critical Role that is similar to a warforged in D&D, and is subject to standard rules of Dungeons & Dragons 5e. They are a multiclass Fighter/Rogue/Cleric, and while their primary levels are as a Fighter (specifically a Gunslinger), they have a level in Cleric that does grant them some spells, as well as having unique abilities as an Aeormaton.

As an Aeormaton:
- Their arm can peel back to reveal the blunderbuss gun inside it
- Can record sound and play it back
- Can eat metal and use it to make minor repairs to themself
- Can integrate new armor into their body (takes an hour to fully integrate), and integrated armor can't be removed unwillingly
- Resistant to poison damage
- Doesn't require air, food, or drink
- Doesn't require sleep and can't be put to sleep by magic
- Immune to disease

As a cleric: their full list of spells are listed here, but can be summarized as follows
- can heal and stabilize a dying creature
- can buff or assist allies
- can cause harm with radiant damage
- can hasten the rate of decomposing

Other abilities:
- Due to some magical feedback, Frida is able to cast the spell Detect Thoughts, which allows them to read someone's mind, though they can only do this once a day (this will be done only with OOC permission from other players, otherwise will fail)
- Can also transform into a werewolf, though currently has little control of the transformation. While there is little information regarding this as it is fairly new, the transformation likely can only be done once per day and lasts for one hour, or if they fall unconscious or die

🦋 Personality

Option 1:

1. Has your character always believed in magic? Do they have something influencing their perspective on the supernatural/metaphysical/spiritual from their past? How do they feel about magic?

Magic itself is deeply woven in the fabric of the world of Exandria and, as far as Frida is aware, has always existed. The magic available to those living in Exandria can come from different sources, and while they have no problems at all with the idea and the use of magic, even wielding magic of their own, despite being a cleric their practice and belief in magic does not come from a deep spirtitual connection. In fact they have rather negative opinions regarding the gods themselves.

Frida had been created during the time of Aeor, and after the fall of the floating city had been damaged and nonfunctional for thousands of years before being repaired and revived by a mysterious figure named D. During that time of being deactivated, they felt that they had been happy, or at the very least wasn’t sad, and being brought back into an unknown world left them confused and uncertain. They felt upset that they had been ripped away from a state of contentment just to be brought back and serve something or someone else, and grew to resent the gods to a degree, deeming them selfish and that they toy with the lives of mortals. Despite these strong feelings towards the gods, though, Frida does still bear the symbol of the Dawnfather on their arm and employ clerical powers, recognizing that the Dawnfather had at least helped provide some of the good that they have in their life.

3. If your character could ask for one wish, and it's going to be magically granted without any consequence, what will it be and why?

If the wish could be granted consequence-free, Frida would ask to bring fellow Aeormaton Fresh Cut Grass back to life, repaired and fully functional once again. Though they had not been physically present at the time it occurred, Frida had felt the moment that FCG had died – they described it as feeling like the best thing in the world had been ripped from it, and compressed into something small and ugly. They became angry, even blaming the rest of Bell’s Hells for letting FCG die, and their anger was so strong it triggered their first werewolf transformation. Even though they had only known each other for a relatively short time, Frida cares deeply for the other Aeormaton, so losing him had a profound effect on them. But even after FCG’s death, Frida can still feel their soul, their presence, and finds inspiration in knowing that FCG was willing to live, and die, doing what’s right. They feel that the world is a better place with the faithful caregiver’s nature, so if it was possible they would want to bring him back into the world to allow him to live the life he should have.

5. If there's one person your character would follow to another realm, who would it be and why? If there's no one, state that and explain why.

There would actually likely be two people who Frida would follow; their close friend, Deanna Leimert, and their romantic partner, Fresh Cut Grass. Though they had only known each other for a relatively short time, Frida felt an instant connection with FCG as fellow Aeormatons who had never encountered another of their kind before. While Frida was initially interested in the other robot because of their fascination with their past and desire to learn more about their history, they quickly grew to appreciate FCG’s sweet and caring nature. And despite knowing that they were more than just a machine and were already capable of thought and feeling, their growing feelings for FCG led to them realizing they were able to experince having a crush on someone. Even with the brief time they had together, Frida and FCG’s feelings for one another grew deeper, and they entered in a relationship, and Frida grew protective of the other robot, wanting to take care of them. Though they did have to go their separate ways, they hoped to see each other once again when everything was over. Their connection to FCG was indeed so profound that even with the distance that separated them, Frida was able to feel the moment that FCG had died.

In fact, the reason that Frida had not been with FCG when he died was because of the other person they did end up staying with, Deanna. After being repaired and awoken by a mysterious figure known as D, Frida had been left to wander alone, lost and uncertain. Many people found them frightening, but eventually they came across Deanna, and hearing her laugh for the first time it reawakened the memory of their primary function, which was to record. They have a recording of laughter for everyone they’ve ever met, but Deanna’s laugh was always special and yet familiar, and it sparked an urge to protect her. They two bonded over being brought back from death into an unfamiliar world, and traveled together and became special to one another. Frida and Deanna are each other’s family, and there is nothing that they wouldn’t do for her, often putting her safety above their own.

7. What is your character's most outstanding personality trait, and why?

Frida’s primary trait is their desire to protect. The initials of their name stand for “Far-Ranging Integrated Defense Aeormaton” is etched on the inside of their face plate, and the memory triggered by Deanna’s laughter inspired the need to protect her. They even recalled a memory through a dream of a small child that they believe they were meant to protect during their time in Aeor before the city fell and they were damaged. They are quick to rush into danger to keep the ones they care about safe, to the point that Deanna has expressed worry that Frida is often too reckless or that they even have a death wish. But the actual reason is that Frida once thought they were fearless, because they thought they already knew what the worst was, until they realized that the worst thing was actually something bad happening to Deanna, and later FCG and the rest of their friends. They simply want to keep people safe, and will do what they can to make certain of that.
